You don’t have to live your life the way other people expect you to. The next brave step is always in front of you.” — Glennon Doyle
Reaching out for support is a powerful step, and I’m glad you’re here. The pre-teen and teenage years, as well as the transition into emerging adulthood, are marked by significant changes, growth, and important life decisions. Whether you’re navigating school stress, mental health challenges, shifting relationships, identity exploration, or uncertainty about what comes next, it’s normal to feel overwhelmed at times. I enjoy helping individuals slow down, gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and take intentional steps toward building the confidence and skills necessary to move forward with clarity, self-compassion, and a sense of empowerment.
My approach to therapy is integrative, grounded in humanistic and person-centered values, and deeply relationship based. In our work together, you will be met with warmth, empathy, and genuine curiosity. I also integrate evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, to support emotional regulation, coping skills, and practical, goal-oriented growth, while always honoring your unique strengths and lived experiences.
With professional experience as a school counselor, I bring a strong understanding of school systems, student support services, and the unique academic, social, and emotional challenges teens face. I also bring a deep knowledge of career counseling, helping individuals explore interests, strengths, and future pathways with clarity and confidence.
I am especially interested in working with individuals navigating life transitions, emerging adulthood, chronic health conditions, self-esteem challenges, stress, and peer relationship concerns. I value a holistic approach to wellness and believe mental health is closely connected to physical health, relationships, identity, and overall well-being. My goal is to help clients build self-awareness, resilience, and sustainable tools that support long-term growth.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth and my master's degree in School Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I am currently enrolled in the Postgraduate CMHC Certificate program at Rocky Mountain University. It would be an honor to support you on your journey, and I look forward to creating a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and empowered.
